In general, there are plenty of main city centers in Aussie that have a diverse range of opportunities. For example, the Gold Coast is developing its commercial and corporate centeres, whilst still maintaining a beach culture lifestyle… and that’s why so many ‘city slickers’ from Sydney and Melbourne are now moving up that way because there is the best of both worlds there, including warmer temperatures.
Most cities in Australia are vibrant and are built near the water, so there is a business for all Kiwi’s in Australia… you just need to weigh up the cost of living, dollar exchange rate and if the grass is really greener?
Some Kiwi’s are making money in Australia, whilst others end up coming home… but don’t let that discourage you… there is plenty of business opportunities in Australia, and plenty of money to be made! You can give two people the same business to run, one will make it thrive and the other could cause the business to fold. The difference is motivation and knowledge, so the one’s that return back to NZ probably didn’t have a skill, trade or an entrepreneurial spirit before they left… maybe they just went to a job they didn’t enjoy.
